An open letter to the women I love...
Please stop complaining about a number on a scale or a size of a pair of pants. Stop pinching your arm and complaining about it being too fat. Don’t grab your waist and sigh. Stop focusing on how much gravity is holding you to the earth--that’s all the number on the scale is after all.
I know you don’t think you’re so great, but you are. You are smart, strong, loving, and have stepped up this year in ways you didn’t know were possible. You are amazing and I love you.
I want you here for a good long time, so eat healthy, move your body, and stay strong so you can play with my girls and we can have epic adventures. Just don’t hate your body anymore, k?
Please try to remember when you complain about that number or pinch your arm that small ears are listening and little eyes are seeing, always. Let’s stop this cycle at some point.
